The theme for GeoCalgary 2022, the 75th Canadian Geotechnical Conference, is Reflection on Resources. The prosperity of Canada is largely founded on the extraction, transformation and use of such resources as agriculture, oil, gas, metals, minerals, hydropower and wind energy. These activities require infrastructure, facilities, plants, dams and dikes, the design and construction of which involve geotechnical challenges. The conference will focus on past geotechnical achievements and the lessons that can be learned from them to improve current practices and build a better, sustainable future.
